西班牙文法速成(第11-1課)--介詞: La Preposición Por vs Para

Por vs. Para

Este regalo es para Juan.   這禮物是給Juan的

似乎都帶有英文for的味道，所以不易區辨

區別:   para: 往前看(future方向)， por 往後看

Juan compró el regalo para María.  買禮物(準備)給她
Juan bought the gift for Maria.  (he bought it to give to her)

 

      特別注意:  Juan dio el regalo a María.   將禮物(面交)給她  (dio是dar 的 過去簡單)

 

Juan compró el regalo por María.  幫她買禮物 (因為...)
Juan bought the gift for Maria. (he bought it because she could not)

Por 用途極廣

* to express gratitude or apology
例句:  Gracias por la ayuda. (Thanks for the help.)

* for multiplication and division 
例句:  Dos por dos son cuatro.  (Two times two equals four.)

* for velocity, frequency and proportion
例句: Voy al restaurante cinco veces por semana. (I go to the restaurant five times per week.)

* meaning "through," "along," "by" or "in the area of"
例句: Andamos por el parque. (We walk through the park.)

* when talking about exchange, including sales
例句:  Él me dio diez dólares por el libro.  (He gave me ten dollars for the book.)

* to mean "on behalf of," or "in favor of,"
例句: No voté por nadie. (I didn't vote for anyone.)

* to express a length of time
例句: Yo estudié por dos horas. (I studied for two hours.)

* to express an undetermined, or general time, meaning "during"
例句: Se puede ver las estrellas por la noche. (One can see the stars during the night.)

* for means of communication or transportation
例句: Prefiero viajar por tren y hablar por teléfono. (I prefer to travel by train and speak by phone.)

* in cases of mistaken identity, or meaning "to be seen as"
例句: Me tienen por loco. (They take me for crazy.)

* to show the reason for an errand (with ir, venir, pasar, mandar, volver, and preguntar)
例句: Paso por ti a las ocho. (I'll come by for you at eight o'clock.)

* when followed by an infinitive, to express an action that remains to be completed, use por + infinitive
Mo例句: La cena está por cocinar. (Dinner has yet to be cooked.)

* to express cause or reason
例句: El hombre murió por falta de agua. (The man died for lack of water.)

* "estar por" means to be in the mood, or inclined to do something
例句: Estoy por tomar café. (I'm in the mood for drinking coffee.)

* in passive constructions
例句: El libro fue escrito por Octavio Paz. (The book was written by Octavio Paz.)

Para 的用法，少多了

* to indicate destination

* to mean "in order to" or "for the purpose  of"
例句: Para hacer una paella, primero dore las carnes. (To make a paella, first sauté the meats.)

* to indicate a recipient
例句: Este regalo es para ti. (This gift is for you.)

* to express a deadline or specific  time
例句: Necesito el vestido para el lunes.(I need the dress by Monday.)

* to express a contrast from what is expected
例句: Para un niño lee muy bien.(For a child, he reads very well.)

* "estar para" to express an action that will soon be completed
例句: El tren está para salir.(The train is about to leave.)

注意:

"¿Por qué?"   Why?   (for what reason?)

"¿Para qué?"   Why?  (for what purpose?)

¿Por qué estudias español?
For what reason do you study Spanish?

Porque es un requisito.
Because it's required.

¿Para qué estudias español?
For what purpose do you study Spanish?

Para ser profesor de español.
In order to become a Spanish teacher.
