       對於天氣狀況,英文的主詞幾乎都是用 it.   相對地,德文用 Es.

       例如 :

       It is raining .     =>     Es regnet.

       It lightens.         =>    Es blitzt.

       It thunders.       =>    Es donnert.

       It hails.               =>    Es hagelt.

       It freezes.           =>    Es friert.

       It snows.            =>    Es schneit.

      過去時也一樣   (記得德文的現在完成時 => 相當於英文的 過去時)

       Gestern hat es geschneit.  昨晚下雪啦

       其他還有 nieseln(drizzle)、stürmen(storm)等。 完整的氣象相關字彙,可參閱

       Paul Joyce German Course (點我)

        很多天體自然現象也都用 es

        Es ist kalt.               =>    It is cold.

        Es wird Nacht.      =>    Night is falling.

        Es dunkelt schon. =>    It's getting dark.

       另外,時間也用 es

        Wie spät ist es?

       Es ist Acht (Uhr).  =>  It is eight o'clock.

       Wo hat es geknallt?

       Es klopft.                     (klopfen

       Es klingelt.                  (klingen

       Es ruft.                         (Somebody is screaming.)

       Es spukt.                      (It haunts.

       Es brennt.                    (It's burning.)

       Es riecht ekelhaft.      (It smells disgusting.)

       Es blüht.                       (It is blooming. 花開)

       Es grünt.

       Es hat mir geschmeckt.          (It tasted well.)

       Es ekelt mich.                          (It makes me sick. 或 It is disgusting.)

       Es tut mir Leid.                       ( I am sorry.)

       Es friert mich.                          (I am cold)

       Es hungert mich.                     (= Ich habe Hunger.)

       Es durstet mich.                      (I am thirsty.  = Ich habe Durst.)

               If it please you,  could you kindly donate some money?

        Wie geht es Ihnen?    Danke, es geht mir gut.   (How are you?)

        Es fehlte mir an Mut.                     (I was lacking in courage.)

        Geht es?      Es geht am Freitag nicht.   (Is that OK?   No, it's no good on Friday.)

        Es gibt nur einen Gott.                    (There's only one God.)

        Es gibt keinen Winter in diesen inseln.    (There's no winter in these islands.)

        Es geht um Leben und Tod.             (It's about life and death.)

        Ich habe es eilig.                                (I am in a hurry.)

       Es ist hier ein Fahrrad.       (There is a bicycle here.)

       Es sind Menschen im Garten.  (There are people in the garden.)

        Es wohnen viele Leute in dem Haus.  (There live a number of people in the house.)

          相當於英文的 It is ... to + V

        英文

        It is unfortunate that he did not come.

        德文

        Es ist schade, dass er nicht kommt.

         英文

         It is not easy to learn a foreign language.

         德文
